Pennsylvania brewery encourages enthusiasts to bring their furry friends
Pets are welcome. The message could not be any clearer at the Retriever Brewing Compound (RBC), the Orefield, Pennsylvania brewery where furry friends and their beer buff human companions are encouraged to mingle.
The former 8,000-square-foot wedding venue turned beer hall now includes an additional 2,000-square-foot building featuring a new pub and pool deck. There also is a 5,000-square-foot garage, which houses RBC’s brewing operations and serves as a storage facility.
The owners bought the 5.5 acre former Willow Tree Grove Banquet & Event Center recently with their sights set on transforming it into a dog-friendly craft brewery. Named after owner Matt Andersen’s Labrador retreiver, Retriever Brewing Co. offers an annual membership for the compound of $65 per person. Potential patrons can register on the business’ website. Beer and merchandise can be shipped through RBC Direct.
Guests are encouraged to bring their leashed pets anywhere throughout the compound marked as “guest-accessible outside areas.”
