Creature Comforts celebrates 11th anniversary

Creature Comforts Brewing Company, an award-winning, purpose-driven craft brewery, is sharing its 11th anniversary with the community. The Athens Taproom, Georgia is hosting a weekend celebration from April 4-6.

The main event will be held on Saturday, April 5, from noon to 10pm, with bands, DJs, food trucks, special glassware and more. Event tickets can be purchased on the Creature Comforts website or in the taproom.

“The Creature Comforts team has always believed that beer brings people together and that breweries have historically been the place where people gather to share ideas and life together,” says Creature Comforts co-founder and CEO Adam Beauchamp. “As we mark this anniversary, it’s a good time to reflect on how we built the company’s foundation of fostering human connection, and we’ve expanded to live our purpose through the creation of industry-leading beverages and experiences. I’m proud of all we have accomplished, but I am even more excited for the opportunities ahead of us this year.”

In addition to the anniversary celebration at the taproom on April 5, weekend highlights include:

  • “Cura” Private Event Space Official Opening – Creature has created a 1,700-square-foot private event space facility next to its downtown taproom that has seating for 50 people inside with additional seating and standing room outside on its 300-square-foot patio. The capacity for events is 90 people. Guests will enjoy Creature’s great beverages in an elevated and private atmosphere.
  • “We Love LA” Beer Launch on Friday, April 4 – Creature assisted in developing a national beer collaboration to benefit those impacted by the California Wildfires.  More than 180 breweries across 25 states and 4 countries committed to coordinating the release of a special beer with its proceeds being donated to the United Way’s Wildfire Response Fund (WRF). Each brewery created its own version of the beer.

The brewery has been recognized often—within its region and its industry—for its innovative and effective approach to community impact work. Creature Comforts has made a commitment to giving back through its flagship corporate philanthropy program, Get Comfortable, for which it was recently recognized by the Deal Center for Early Language & Literacy at its Annual Governor’s Summit for its third-grade literacy program in its hometown. As documented in its third annual Impact Report, Creature Comforts has contributed more than five million dollars in total community impact.

The brand has experienced incredible growth since its inception, becoming one of the 35 largest craft breweries in America since its inception. Known for its wide range of highly rated and award-winning beers, the Creature Comforts line-up includes year-round and seasonal offerings such as Tropicália (American IPA), Classic City Lager (Lager), Bigger Dreams (Hazy IPA) among others.

Creature Comforts DTLA also produces select beers exclusively for the California market. Classic City Lager has won a Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2022 and 2024. In 2023, Creature was named the Official Taproom and Craft Beer of UGA Athletics.
